Sablé Sweets was founded in 2020 in Qatar by Fadi Jamoul and Ali Alkwari. Known for our signature Spring Sablé, we quickly became a beloved name with several locations across Qatar.
In 2025, we opened our first international branch in Rotterdam, bringing authentic Qatari pastries to the Netherlands. Our menu features unique desserts like the Spring Sablé, seasonal cheesecakes, and more to come — including sandwiches and salads in the future.
Rotterdam welcomed us with open arms, and we’re excited to share our passion for quality and flavor with more cities across the Netherlands.

Sablé Sweets started in 2020 in Qatar. Together with my partner, Ali Alkwari, we opened Sablé Sweets there, and over the years we’ve built a strong reputation and opened several locations. This branch in Rotterdam is our first one outside of Qatar!
Why Rotterdam? It actually started with one of our regular customers in Qatar. He told us: “You really have to go to the Netherlands — people there will love your concept.” When we saw this spot on Nieuwe Binnenweg, we knew right away: this is perfect!
Sablé Sweets is a patisserie offering Qatari specialties. Our most famous product is the Spring Sablé: a special dough filled with custard and topped with a dip of two types of chocolate. It’s the product that made us famous in Qatar — once people try it, they always come back.
Besides our pastries, we plan to add sandwiches and salads to our menu in the future. Our cheesecakes have already become favorites for many. Every two months, we change the selection, often inspired by the season. For example, we currently have a San Sebastián cheesecake and a raspberry cheesecake.
The feedback here in Rotterdam has been amazing. People see that we offer something special — a beautiful balance of flavors and quality that stays with you. Our dream is to grow from Rotterdam to other cities in the Netherlands, like Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Eindhoven.
